Why should you care what I think...

The straight answer....I don't know that you should care.  But I am still going to offer my opinions anyway!

I love reading.  I love it oh so much!  When I was a kid, when I got sent to my room, I got sent with the extra punishment of "And no reading!!"  I wasn't allowed to read at the dinner table because my parents  liked to encourage me to interact with others despite the fact that I would complain endlessly, perhaps hoping that if I were annoying enough, they would let me read just to get me to shut up.  I am always carrying a book with me.  If I have to sit for more than a couple of minutes, I am pulling out my book and reading.  I have attempted to read and drive at the same time.  Luckily I realized it was a poor decision before I managed to crash my car into something.  As you can see, reading is an incredibly important part of my life.

When I look at reviewing a book, I try to consider a lot of things.  The story itself, the technicalities of the writing, the voice, and who it might appeal to.  I can read a book that I do not enjoy at all, but still understand why it is that I don't like it and think of who I know that might enjoy it more and pass the book on in their direction.  So while the reviews I give are, of course, my opinions, they are not based solely on whether I enjoyed the book or not, but are based on many different aspects so that (I hope!) lots of different people could benefit from them.

So, that is my intent for this blog and I hope I can live up to it!
